Boy Dies After Daycare Worker Leaves Him in Nursery Van for Nearly 12 Hours

A three-year-old boy died after being left in a hot van outside a day care center for nearly 12 hours in the Florida heat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to reports, Myles Hill was apparently forgotten by a day care employee, during a trip between two centers run by Little Miracles Academy in Orlando.

After the staff worker failed to do a head count, Hill remained trapped inside the parked car as the sweltering heat brought temperatures to nearly 95 degrees. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to ABC news, It wasn’t until Hill’s grandmother phoned authorities, nearly 11 hours later, to report her grandson missing, when he was not dropped off at her home. When officials arrived back at the center, they found the three-year-old unresponsive in the daycare van. He was confirmed dead at the scene. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although criminal charges are pending against the worker responsible, she has been very cooperative with officials, as police say she is still very upset about what happened. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the meantime, the child’s family has called for the nursey to be shut down. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hill would have turned 4 later this month.
