A mother is behind bars after her 12-year-old daughter's elementary school spotted a tattoo on her shoulder.
A police report, obtained by WTVM., claims authorities were called to
Arnco Argent Elementary School after a teacher saw "Jesus loves"
tattooed on the girl.
A teacher described the marking as "bluish green with Jesus written above the cross and loves written below," WTVM reported.
They first saw it when the child arrived to a school dance sporting a
strapless dress.Upon further investigation, police reported that the
girl alleged that her father forced her to get the tattoo. She later
switched up her story, admitting that she wanted it.
Her mother, 35-year-old Emma Nolan, told police her daughter is
estranged from her father and has been for some time. She said she had
no prior knowledge of her child getting a tattoo, according to the news
station.
According to WTVM, both Nolan and tattoo artist Brenda Gaddy were arrested in connection with the religious ink.
